NRHEG Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to serve as our Elementary Band and Music Teacher in our growing Music program for the  school year.

• Provides high-quality musical instruction to individual students and small groups
• Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students
• Ability to teach skills in the musical foundations and an appreciation for vocal and instrumental music
• Plans and delivers a balanced musical program for students
• Effectively organizes class time and maximizes student engagement and learning
• Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress
• Adapts curriculum to meet the needs of each student
• Incorporates all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of the students
• Will evaluate each student's musical growth, performance, and musical understanding and will assess each student's contribution to the performance of the group

• Possession of K-12 MN Instrumental and Classroom Music License
• Three years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred, but not required
• Demonstrates an understanding and use of equitable and culturally responsive practices

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to apply instructional strategies on differentiation
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Knowledge of Minnesota State Art/Music Standards, collaboration practices, team teaching practices, and special education
• Ability to collect data and make recommendations for students
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with school administrators, staff, students, and families
