Academic specialists identify student skill needs through diagnostic assessments and support growth through targeted, evidence-based interventions aligned to learning progressions. They scaffold foundational skills below grade level, strengthen access to core learning, and build on student interests with assessment for learning practices to monitor progress. Progress is documented to ensure accelerated growth and achievement of intervention or IEP goals, while ongoing communication with families supports learning lab oration with home-base teachers, assistants, managers, and related service providers ensures coordinated support through participation in IEP and evaluation meetings.

• Earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Elementary Education.

• Experience collaborating with colleagues and enthusiasm for working with students.

$53,228–$107,781 per school year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications).
