Martin County West Schools is accepting applications for an Educational Support Professional (ESP/Paraprofessional) at Trimont Elementary School 77 W Beech St, Trimont, MN 56176. This is a full-time position at Martin County West Public Schools, located at Trimont Elementary School, to provide general assistance to assigned students with a variety of needs. This position follows the school calendar with the general Monday - Friday hours of approximately 7:30 - 3:30 (adjusted based on before and after school duties assigned).

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:
Two years of college, associates degree, or ability to pass competency test before beginning work. The ability to work cooperatively with other staff. The capability to work with students with a variety of needs. Strong human relations skills.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities. Provide support and supervision to students in various settings, including the classroom, hallways, lunch room, gym, etc. Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed. Serve as crossing guard for students walking to and from school (typically 1-2 sessions per week).
Pay and benefits include:

District Insurance Contribution: $6,300 (remaining insurance premium to be covered by employee) $400 403b Match After 1 Year of Service Annually: 10 Sick Days, 5 Family Emergency Days, 2 Personal Days Starting Pay, Negotiable with Experience, No Less Than $13.80/Hour Physical Job Requirements Light Work that may involve frequent lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Walking, standing, talking, listening, seeing, using and reaching with hands are required continuously. Sitting is required occasionally.
