Aitkin School District #1 is seeking a High School Paraprofessional to join our Special Education Department. This role involves working with students across a variety of ability levels and collaborating closely with special services team members.

Aitkin School District #1 is seeking a High School Paraprofessional to join our Special Education Department. This role involves working with students across a variety of ability levels and collaborating closely with special services team members.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring that students with special needs and emotional disabilities receive a high-quality education aligned with their individualized goals and state standards.

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Two (2) or more years of post-secondary education OR successful completion of the Para Pro assessment (willingness to take and pass the assessment if not already completed)
• Ability to support and implement student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to student growth, achievement, and success

• Collaborate with teaching staff to support the growth and development of students with diverse disabilities
• Participate actively in regular paraprofessional meetings
• Document and collect data to monitor student progress and IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with teachers, colleagues, and administrators using a variety of technology platforms
• Support students in maintaining high standards for academic achievement, including homework and classroom learning activities
