Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring Preschool Assistant Teachers for full-time and part-time positions at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School in Eagan, MN.

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$24.00/hour Based on education, experience, qualifications, and assigned role.

Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom where children learn through exploration, play, and meaningful relationships.

• Assist in implementing engaging daily learning activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Build caring relationships with children and families.
• Supervise children while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.
• Assist with meals, outdoor play, transitions, toileting, and classroom routines.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and licensing standards.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and the teaching team.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience working with young children (childcare, preschool, nannying, camps, education, or related experience)
• Early Childhood coursework, CDA, or related education preferred
• Ability to meet Minnesota DHS Assistant Teacher qualifications (or willingness to obtain qualifications)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children

Since 1999, Lake Area Discovery Center has partnered with churches and schools throughout the Twin Cities to provide exceptional early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.

Our nationally accredited, faith-based programs combine high-quality academics, hands-on discovery, outdoor learning, and caring relationships to help children grow socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.
