Location: Lake Crystal
Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher
Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Secondary School seeks a long-term substitute special education teacher for grades 7-9. The position focuses on English Language Arts for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), starting early December 2026.
Position Overview:
Support 7th-9th grade students with SLD in English Language Arts through targeted instruction, co-teaching, and IEP management.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support 7th-9th grade students with SLD in ELA.
- Deliver small-group and co-taught instruction.
- Implement IEP accommodations and track student progress.
- Collaborate with general education English teachers and staff.
- Maintain regular communication with families.
Qualifications:
- Minnesota Special Education licensure (SLD preferred) or eligibility.
- Secondary English instruction or intervention experience.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Dates &
Schedule:
Early December 2026 start date through approximately April 2027. Full-time, long-term substitute assignment.
