Long-Term Substitute – High School Science Teacher

Reports To:High School Principal
Length of Assignment:Approximately 20 weeks
Pay Rate:$220 per day

Lake Park Audubon School District is seeking a
Long-Term Substitute High School Science Teacher
for approximately 20 weeks. The successful candidate will provide high-quality science instruction while maintaining a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned high school science courses using district-approved curriculum and materials.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs and abilities of students.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate classroom expectations and procedures.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required student records.
  • Communicate and collaborate with students, parents, staff, and administration as needed.
  • Follow district policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Supervise students and promote student safety and well-being.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
  • Minnesota teaching license preferred.
  • Science teaching experience or educational background in science preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage a high school classroom.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
