Delano Community Education has an opening for a Program Lead in our Tiger Kids Club School Age Care program.

• Position located at the Delano Community Education Center, 140 Elm Ave E, Delano, MN.
• Part time, Monday through Friday. This includes before and after school care for K-6th grade during the school year. The shift would be 2:00-5:30/6:00pm dependent on enrollment, for a total of 4 hours per day dependent on enrollment.
• Our program is open between the hours of 6:45am-5:45 pm, Monday-Friday. We serve families with children ages 33 months through the completion of 6th grade.

• Tiger Kids Club's goal is to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to pursue their own interests, grow in independence, develop friendships, and again an appreciation for their community and environment. We believe children learn best through play and self-exploration of their environment. We encourage this belief through our curriculum, daily activities, and interactions with our children.

• Plan and implement daily activities, aligned to the mission of the TKC program
• Lead a classroom of up to 20 students
• Mentor and coach high school aides
• Have strong communication skills with families and colleagues
• Have strong relationship building skills with school age children
• Maintain an inviting, well organized classroom, aligned to Creative Curriculum
• Other duties as assigned

• 1 or more years of relevant experience
• Current MN teaching License highly preferred, but not required: K-6, Early Childhood or similar
• Knowledgeable in child development and developmentally appropriate best practice in early childhood
• Self-directed, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about children and providing quality learning experiences

• Salary range: $18.02-$20.67 per hour, depending on experience and licensure.
