Clinical and Partnership Coordinator

About the Job

This position provides oversight and coordination of all clinical experiences and community partnerships for the teacher education programs. This position must demonstrate sensitivity toward, and knowledge and understanding of, diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

• Develop and implement placement procedures for the full range of clinical experiences, including tutor-aide, field experiences, student teaching internships, and practical.
• Maintain accurate and updated memoranda of understanding with school districts.
• Process payments to schools, cooperating teachers, and supervisors.
• Make recommendations to the Division Chair for student teaching budgets.

• Provide support, training resources, and clear documentation (such as candidate and host responsibilities) for cooperating teachers and university supervisors.
• Track completion of cooperating teacher and field supervisor required activities and document submissions.
• Serve as the primary contact to mediate performance or interpersonal challenges between candidates, host schools, and supervisors.
• Lead pre-placement orientations for candidates on professional ethics, site expectations, and placement guidelines.

• Track and monitor individual field experience requirements related to Minnesota teacher licensure rules.
• Use current digital assessment systems (e.g., Tk20, SL&L) to manage applications, placements, assessments, and reporting.
• Monitor and analyze candidate placement data to ensure diverse demographic, socioeconomic, and learning environment exposure.
• Collaborate with faculty to update evaluation instruments and provide relevant clinical data to the assessment coordinator.

• Lead Division of Education teacher preparation outreach initiatives on campus and with area partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant campus programs (e.g., Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators Program, Office of Community Engagement) and regional school programs.
• Support faculty and the Division Chair in implementing alumni support systems.
• Collaborate with campus colleagues and community partners on shared initiatives (e.g., Morris Challenge) to assess area needs and explore programming opportunities.
• Plan and implement outreach events such as future educator days, campus visits, etc.
• Regularly communicate with all school partners beyond clinical experience placements.

• Collaborate with the Division Chair on Teacher Education Advisory Council activities, taking a leadership role in planning meetings, events, and agenda items.
• Document school partnership activities via meeting minutes, running records, and regular updates.
• Regularly consult with the Division Chair regarding partnership goals, potential opportunities, policy impacts, and budgetary needs.
• Collaborate with the Division Chair and partners on grant opportunities and funded programs supporting local schools.

• Manage data sharing agreements and memoranda of understanding with the Designated School Partner (as per MN Rule ).
• Devise and implement methods to evaluate outreach and partnership effectiveness.
• Oversee social media platforms and guide the overall media presence for teacher education.
• Lead the distribution, collection, and analysis of accreditation surveys (e.g., Exit Survey, Transition to Teaching Survey, Supervisor Survey) in collaboration with the assessment coordinator.
