Job Details
Purpose of PositionTo assist the Lead Inspector with various projects at the Cass County Highway Department in Walker, MN.
Work Performed / Job FunctionsTypical tasks include assisting the Lead Inspector with inspection of construction projects, construction staking, topographic surveying, and conducting materials testing. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Training, Experience, or CertificationsPreferred qualifications include a high school degree or its equivalent plus either two to four years of post‑secondary education/training in mathematics, civil engineering, or drafting areas. At a minimum, the employee must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical EffortLight to medium physical activities requiring the ability to reach to obtain various books, boxes, tools and equipment; a blend of sedentary or office environment work up potentially hazardous field work including, but not limited to; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, and color vision, climbing and balancing while carrying field equipment up to 50 pounds.
Work in the field will include exposure to weather.
This Solicitation is to fill three openings beginning in May at the Cass County Highway Department in Walker, MN.
Hourly Range$ 23.11 - $30.12
