Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result‑driven Project Manager to lead the large‑scale construction projects within the steel Industry.

The Ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing end‑to‑end project life cycles for industrial construction, with a strong focus on safety, quality, budget control, and timely delivery. This role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of complex projects.

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of steel plant and DRI construction projects from concept to commissioning
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans aligned with business objective
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) activities and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Manage project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively
• Monitor project progress, costs, and timelines, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, contractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
• Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings
• Manage contracts, change orders, and claims with contractors and suppliers
• Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project execution.

• 15+ years of experience in project management within the steel industry, including DRI projects.
• Proven experience in project construction for steel plants, DRI units, or large industrial projects
• Strong understanding of EPC project delivery models
• Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and DRI technologies.
• Expertise in construction management, project planning, and cost control.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field.

• $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
