Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result - driven Project Manager to lead the large-scale construction projects within the steel Industry.

The Ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing end-to-end project life cycles for industrial construction, with a strong focus on safety, quality, budget control, and timely delivery. This role requires close coordination with engineering, procurement, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of complex projects.

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of steel plant and DRI construction projects from concept to commissioning
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans aligned with business objective
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) activities and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Manage project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively
• Monitor project progress, costs, and timelines, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, contractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
• Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings
• Manage contracts, change orders, and claims with contractors and suppliers
• Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project execution

• 15+ years of experience in project management within the steel industry, including DRI projects
• Proven experience in project construction for steel plants, DRI units, or large industrial projects
• Strong understanding of EPC project delivery models
• Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and DRI technologies
• Expertise in construction management, project planning, and cost control
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
• Strong familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field

• $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
