We are now looking for a new professional to join our Process R&D team in Kantvik, Kirkkonummi, in the position of
** Process R&D Engineer / Senior Engineer**.
** A role where you make a real impact:
*** Take responsibility for planning, executing, managing, and reporting of process development experiments and projects.
* Participate in technology transfer, start-up, and plant optimizations in Finland and abroad.
* Act as a proactive team member in global development projects both in pilot and plant scale.
* Schedule and organize day-to-day pilot and laboratory work for development projects.
* Supervise pilot plant and laboratory personnel in project setting.
* Ensure continuous improvement in safety culture and day-to-day operations.
** Requirements for the role:
*** M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or Process Engineering.
* Excellent attitude towards Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
* Team player mentality and high respect for people.
* Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and continuous learning attitude.
* Ability and willingness to work hands-on in pilot plant and plant environment.
* Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills both in Finnish and in English.
* Good IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP).
* Willingness for occasional travelling.
** Considered an advantage:
*** A few years of relevant work experience in bioprocess, chemical and/or pulp & paper industry.
* Practical experience in solid-liquid separation technologies.
* Practical experience in bioreactors.
* Experience in various other separation technologies (ion exchange, chromatographic separation, membrane separations, crystallization).
* Experience in process automation and capital engineering projects.

We are looking for a hands-on team player with strong problem‑solving skills to take on the challenges of process development. In this role, you will contribute to hands-on process development across laboratory, pilot, and industrial scales as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will work in close collaboration with production and analytics specialists to drive process improvements and support scaling efforts.
