Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the Engineering project activities related to developing new projects for customers as well as maintaining existing products. This includes interactions with customers, external vendors, and internal resources such as Sales, Purchasing, and Tooling; from quoting through part approvals for new, revised or transferred injection molding and assembly projects. In this position activities include recommendations for: tooling vendors, resin selection, main processing equipment, and accessory and automation equipment.

You will also coordinate the development of proper documentation for quality requirements such as first article inspections, PFMEAs, capability studies, and PPAP submission, and development of molding and assembly parameters with the proper internal resources. Expectations for this position also include cost reductions and continuous improvement projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or five years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in injection molding tool design, processing and project management required
• Knowledge of molding processes and related support processes and secondary operations of plastics is preferred (molding, welding, machining, joining, and assembly methods)
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge or experience with 3D CAD software is desired
• Knowledge of ERP and Project Management systems is preferred (IQMS is ideal)
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Project)
