Design Drafter-Engineering

Position Summary

Performs intermediate design work by producing B.O.M's (Bill of Materials) and drawings for non‑standard trailer orders. This position requires close supervision from the Design Supervisor.

Responsible to complete design, layout and drafting of Production Orders for certain particular groups of basic semi‑tank trailers and assemblies. Produces, revises and maintains B.O.M's ensuring all parts and assemblies are located in the correct manufacturing areas.

Proficient in AUTOSCAD Inventor. Considerable knowledge of design and layout drafting, understanding of MRP concepts and working knowledge of AUTOSCAD Inventor. Familiar with ASME and DOT codes, and understands that variations of design must be reviewed by an Engineer.

Two years of vocational drafting or equivalent experience with CAD (minimum of 6 months). Demonstrated ability to use AUTOSCAD Inventor.
