We are seeking applicants for an Environmental Specialist in our International Falls, Minnesota Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.
Job InformationKey priorities may include NPDES and Title V Air Permit Management, Ash Land Application Program, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Above Ground Storage (AST) Tank Permit, Accident/Incident Investigations, Environmental Training, Risk Management Plan (RMP) Management, agency reporting and interface, and overall environmental compliance management.
Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring compliance with mill operations as they relate to environmental principals.
- The position will develop, implement, and maintain systems to ensure compliance with Facility, Corporate, Local, State, and Federal requirements of the facilities air, waste, and water programs.
- Responsible for permitting plans for environmental programs.
- Lead the environmental review process surrounding capital projects.
- Assistance with multimedia environmental projects as needed within the department.
- Interface with regulatory agencies, as needed, on compliance and/or enforcement issues.
- Must be organized and able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid and current driver's license.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Environmental Field.
- Starting salary range for position: $85,000 to $125,000.
