Assistant State Signal and Lighting Engineer (Minnesota)
Help set statewide standards, support traffic engineering professionals, and drive innovation in traffic signal technology as Minnesota's next Assistant State Signal and Lighting Engineer!
Responsibilities- Review and coordinate statewide policies, procedures, and standards for signal design and operation
- Support Metro District and Greater Minnesota districts on signal operations and signal shared services
- Represent interests of non-Metro districts in signal design and operation decisions
- Provide technical support for training programs
- Manage the evaluation of new products and methods for traffic electrical designs and operation
- Act as technical liaison for miscellaneous research and implementation projects
- Provide engineering assistance to MnDOT’s Connected and Automated Vehicle Program
