MDS Staffing is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team and be a key part of constructing dreams across Minnesota & Wisconsin and beyond.

What You'll Do

  • Design and analyze structural systems using wood, steel, and concrete
  • Stamp and seal structural drawings and calculations for permitting
  • Collaborate with drafting, sales, and project management teams from concept to construction
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISI, NDS)
  • Conduct structural feasibility reviews and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Support field staff and troubleshoot structural concerns on active job sites
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and review geotechnical reports
  • Maintain internal engineering documentation and stay up to date on industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Professional Structural Engineer (PE) license in MN and WI, or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design of building systems
  • Proficiency in structural design software (RISA, RAM) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Familiarity with low-rise commercial, residential, or agricultural projects
  • Strong communication, time management, and independent problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and conduct field visits as needed
