Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Mechanical & Design Engineer for an engineering and manufacturing company in Maple Plain, MN. In this role, you'll support manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, product development, and continuous process improvements. This opportunity offers hands-on engineering work in a collaborative environment where you'll play a key role in projects from concept through completion. What You'll Do as a Mechanical & Design Engineer:

Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings
Design tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment modifications to improve operations
Troubleshoot equipment issues and support repairs, maintenance, and process improvements
Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and manufacturing launches
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and revision-controlled drawings
Conduct product and process testing and document findings and recommendations
Collaborate with production teams to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency

What You Need to Bring to the Mechanical & Design Engineer Role:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Background in manufacturing, mechanical design, equipment engineering, or process engineering
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, if applicable
