Geophysics

Talon Metals Corp is seeking a Geophysicist responsible for collecting, processing, modelling and interpretating geophysical data collected at Tamarack, Minnesota, and spearheading the new greenfield exploration programs in Michigan and Minnesota.

This is an ideal position for a Geophysicist who is passionate and creative about designing innovative solutions for modelling complex Midcontinent Rift (MCR) nickel deposits.

The successful candidate will join our exploration team which includes 4 geophysicists, with in-house capabilities to collect EM, BHEM, Borehole Seismic Tomography, Magnetotellurics, and acoustic televiewer data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Physics, Geology, Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in Geophysical Exploration
• Prior experience processing/interpreting geophysical data
• At least five years of geophysical interpretation experience
• Solid knowledge base of geophysical inversion theory
• Programming experience in C++ and/or Python
• Strong interest in Machine Learningtheory and algorithms
• Experience leading and mentoring exploration teams
