Slot Floor Technician

Location: Welch

Pay Rate: $22.50 an hour

SUMMARY:

To maintain, repair and place video slot machines and related gaming equipment throughout the casino. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Handle machine related customer issues promptly

* Install, move, test, repair and maintain slot and electronic/electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems

* Review, interpret and verify slot pay tables, settings and jackpots of pre-established amounts

* Troubleshoot and repair slots and associated player tracking system to minimize down time and maximize profitability of the gaming operation

* Independently and/or cooperatively perform advanced tasks including but not limited to RAM clears, setup and configuration of software, progressive system(s) hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting

* Assist in the ongoing training and development of other team members

* Maintain security of company assets

* Perform assigned tasks in compliance with applicable regulations

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

* 1 year of electronic troubleshooting or computer repair

Preferred:

* 2 year technical degree or 2 years equivalent experience

* 2 years mechanical and electromechanical systems experience

Skills

Required:

* Accurate and detail-oriented

* Strong organizational skills

* Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

* Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

* Strong mechanical aptitude

Preferred:

* Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment

* Proven soldering skills

* Proven ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify electronic components

REQUIRED TRAINING

* Treasure Island guest service training

* Department orientation, including safety and policies and procedures

* Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day

* Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop

* Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely

* Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally

* Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipment

* Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions

* Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

* Slot Technician shop, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke

* Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters

* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays

* Occasionally overtime may be required

* Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
