Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Finance Business Partner to lead the development and delivery of financial solutions focused on pharmacy finance. This role serves as a key liaison and trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, empowering financially sound planning and decision‑making through data‑driven insights and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) tools. The Director will lead a team of finance professionals dedicated to supporting business units in achieving their strategic and financial goals.
EssentialJob Duties / Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with operations leaders to understand needs and challenges, enabling rapid service improvements through continuous feedback
- Analyze financial trends and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, utilization, reduce costs, and increase revenue to enhance margins
- Prepare customized financial statements and analyses to support budget requests and cost reduction strategies; communicate findings effectively to leadership
- Monitor leading indicators to identify risks and performance gaps, driving corrective actions or alternative approaches
- Develop and maintain productivity targets and provide recommendations to optimize labor staffing schedules
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of finance business partners, fostering continuous improvement
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data to support decision-making
- Ensure financial performance KPIs are met and advise on corrective actions as needed
- Develop financial models to evaluate business scenarios and support strategic planning
- Champion process improvement initiatives to optimize financial operations and reporting
- Serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Stay current on industry trends, reimbursement changes, regulatory developments, and best practices in pharmacy finance
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required)
- Certification/Registration/Licensure: CPA or CMA (Preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related healthcare field, including 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience (Required);
Preferred: 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related healthcare field, with 5 years of pertinent leadership experience and experience partnering with key stakeholders
- Organizational Strategy and Implementation: Recognizes market trends, judges the impact on their area of responsibility, contributes to responsive strategic plans, develops operational plans, and ensures alignment and commitment of all staff.
- Fiscal Management: Effectively uses established processes to ensure accountability for effective operations and resource management.
- Human Resource Management: Selects, aligns, develops, motivates, manages, and retains a team of highly skilled employees.
- Excellence in Service and Quality: Achieves seamless delivery of quality patient care, safety, excellence in patient experience, and customer service. Utilizes Continuous Quality Improvement principles and platform planning in decisions, improvements, and system design.
- Organizational Leadership: Provides leadership and accomplishes objectives by ensuring the integration of processes and initiatives while modeling collaboration. Participates and supports in brand/service delivery teams as requested.
