Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
The Plant Controller leads on-site financial operations for the plant while partnering closely with corporate accounting teams. This role is responsible for production and financial reporting, cost and profitability analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis, with a strong focus on supporting plant leadership and driving profit maximization initiatives. The Plant Controller plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, improving processes, and providing actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Salary Range:$100,200 – $125,200 base salary

- Ensure accurate production data collection, reporting, and analysis
- Provide standard and ad hoc production and financial reports to plant management
- Oversee period-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory tie-outs
- Review accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze and explain operating expense and results variances to plant and financial leadership
- Prepare monthly, year-to-date, and annual budget and results analysis in partnership with plant operations
- Build and maintain profitability models for capital expenditure projects and provide economic justifications
- Track and report on process improvement initiatives and sourcing project savings
- Support product downgrade valuation processes and custom drying financial analysis (as applicable)
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of five years of professional business experience
- At least three years of related experience, preferably within food processing or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
- Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools preferred
