This role will be responsible for coordinating reporting and analysis process improvements, leading the standardization of financial operating processes and procedures, and supporting the transition from IFRS to US GAAP/SOX reporting standards.
Responsibilities:
- US GAAP/SOX Compliance: Support the finance team in transitioning from IFRS to US GAAP/SOX compliance. Develop tools and processes to ensure regulatory compliance, liaising with corporate and regional functions.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance financial reporting and analysis processes.
- Standardization: Work with support functions to standardize financial operating processes across the company.
- Financial Audit and Accounting: Assist internal and external audit teams, providing documentation and support during audits in accordance with SOX controls and US GAAP.
- Financial Compliance: Conduct flux analysis, complete monthly account reconciliations, and address unreconciled balances.
- Internal Control Processes: Support process design, documentation, and implementation.
- Month-End Activities: Perform activities supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
- System Development: Participate in developing and implementing financial reporting systems like SAP ECC, SAC, and Tagetik, ensuring they meet organizational needs and standards.
- Adhoc Requirements: Engage in special projects and prepare technical accounting memos on new or unusual transactions.
- Safety: Promote safety and environmental policies in all work environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CMA or CPA preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience with Big 4 or large manufacturing audit firms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong US GAAP knowledge and reporting experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or construction industry accounting preferred
- SAC/SAP ECC experience
Travel Requirements: less than 5%
