Job Description
This leadership position is responsible for coordinating the enterprise-wide General Accounting, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Benefit Plan Accounting functions to ensure integration of activities and the long‑term effectiveness of the functions. The role collaborates with Enterprise Reporting, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Shared Services, Business Process Transformation, Legal, and HR Total Rewards to align the team structure to meet departmental requirements and provide strategic leadership in all aspects of these functions.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Oversee the Enterprise Benefit Plan Accounting and Reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for corporate benefit plans in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the enterprise accounting activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and proper recording of financial information and compliance with internal controls.
- Drive organizational efficiency through process design and continuous improvement, leading and motivating a team of leaders and individual contributors.
- Provide solutions for existing financial accounting activities, maintaining the integrity of financial data and internal controls.
- Support strategic and annual planning, providing recommendations to minimize expense and cash‑flow impacts for benefit plans and cost and inventory activities.
- Act as liaison and strategic partner to other corporate groups, participating on the Finance Steering Committee.
- Recruit, hire, coach, train, evaluate, and manage the accounting and benefit plan teams, fostering growth and learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA a plus. CPA preferred.
- 12+ years of related accounting experience, including 5+ years of proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
- Recognized as a valued strategic financial colleague among financial professionals.
- Expert guidance to finance and other business partners, with strong assessment and talent enrichment skills.
- Effective communicator who engages and energizes both financial and non‑financial managers.
- Excellent collaboration skills with an inclusive, consultative and solution‑driven approach.
- Results orientation, ability to influence and build relationships, and comfort in a very visible role.
