VP-Ag Loan Officer

OverviewBuild your career with Citizens Alliance Bank! The VP‑Ag Loan Officer will be responsible for managing an existing ag loan portfolio and developing new ag lending business. This role requires effective under‑writing, structuring, and closing of all types of ag loans in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow the existing ag loan portfolio.
- Underwrite, structure, and close ag loans following bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Exercise sound judgment in the loan‑making process and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of bank policies and state/federal regulations.
- Oversee operational aspects of ag loans within the assigned market.
- Provide supervisory support to other lenders in the department when required.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, pay records, and tax returns to assess borrowers.
- Present credits and loans for approval to appropriate authorities.
- Proactively acquire new ag loan customers and develop referral networks.
- Prioritize workload and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain compliance with BSA/AML and other regulatory obligations.
- Assist co‑workers as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to security requirements, including installation of a multi‑factor authentication app on a personal device.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and be available for occasional travel to trade schools and seminars.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Continuing education to maintain job knowledge (required).
- Three to five years of banking experience (required).
- Three to five years of customer‑service experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (preferred).
- Knowledge of regulations governing all lending practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong prioritization, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
