OverviewMinnesota Lakes Bank has an opening for a Credit Analyst. The primary responsibilities include analyzing and investigating credit information; preparing written loan presentations for routine and complex credit requests; and providing assistance to business bankers as requested. The applicant should possess strong communication and computer skills.
Salary & BenefitsSalary Range: $50,000-$75,000 per year. Benefits include health, dental, vision & life insurance, long & short-term disability, 401(k), paid holidays & paid time off.
Responsibilities- Maintain the bank’s analysis software in order to provide overall support and assistance to lenders in the financial analysis process.
- Review incoming financial statements and update or complete financial spreads.
- Perform complete credit analysis for routine and complex credit requests.
- Provide written financial statement analysis for credit presentations, file comments, and annual reviews.
- Manage the future maturity list to ensure credits are renewed timely.
- Maintain the report of reviews due and work with lenders to keep comments current.
- Complete periodic reviews of file quality for participation portfolio.
- Monitor and report on specialized portfolios.
- Prepare modified credit presentations on new and renewing loans requiring Loan Committee approval, including exposure summary, financial and cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, covenant and risk rating review.
- Manage the appraisal process: place appraisals for bid with approved appraisers, select appraiser and complete engagement letter, track appraisal status, and communicate with appraiser and lender on status.
- Complete review of residential appraisals.
- Regularly interact with borrowers and accountants to obtain information relevant to the analysis.
- Assist lenders with policy compliance, loan structuring, and general underwriting.
- Assist lenders in identifying cross-selling opportunities.
- Understand the bank’s internal loan policy and remain current with revisions and exceptions to the policy.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting (preferred).
- Two to five years of experience as a credit analyst or relevant experience in a position utilizing similar analytical skills.
