Our finance team is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant! The schedule is Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30 pm.

Job Summary /Success in this role looks like:
The primary function of this position is to be responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Essential Duties:
Supports the mission of Astera Health through personal conduct and behaviors that contribute ideas and suggestions, is helpful and friendly, demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality, and adheres to organizational policies and a role model of Astera Health culture and core values.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly financial statements.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met and reports are completed accurately.
Prepare financial management reports.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.
Assist in the development of departmental procedure manual while suggesting areas for improvement.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Analyzes financial and performance data to identify trends, patterns, and root causes.
Continuous management and support of departmental budget analysis.
Conducts quantitative and/or qualitative analyses of performance and helps identify and prioritize improvement opportunities
Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
Become ERP subject matter expert and help identify areas where technical solutions would improve business performance.
Monitor, recommend, and implement improvements to current methodologies and practices.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing practices and principles.
3+ years’ experience in management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and auditing.
Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position.
