Bailey Nurseries, Inc., a fifth-generation, family-owned horticultural leader, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making across growing, production, logistics, and sales. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, builds financial models for pricing and capital investments, and partners with operations leaders to improve margins and cost efficiency. The analyst will prepare monthly management reports, develop KPIs, and support annual planning.
Ideal candidates bring strong Excel/ERP skills, manufacturing or agriculture experience, and a collaborative, hands-on approach aligned with our down-to-earth culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for multiple business units
- Conduct detailed variance, margin, and cost analyses to explain performance drivers
- Develop and maintain financial models for pricing, capital projects, and scenario planning
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and dashboards with KPIs
- Partner with growing, production, logistics, and sales teams to support decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs, and optimize inventory
- Support strategic planning and long-range financial projections
- Enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting tools within ERP and Excel
- Assist with ad hoc analysis for leadership and cross-functional initiatives
- Translate financial insights into clear recommendations for non-financial stakeholders
