Commercial Lender​/CRA Development Officer

Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking an experienced commercial lender who combines strong, well-rounded commercial credit skills with a demonstrated track record of building Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) assets and relationships. This is a dual-mandate role: you will be an active participant in the lending activities of Battle Bank, managing commercial lending requests that come to the bank from across the United States and Canada, while proactively developing CRA-qualified lending, investment, and community relationships throughout Minnesota, with a special emphasis on Morrison County and the surrounding Central Minnesota region.

This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $150,000 – $175,000 depending on experience. Battle Bank, N.A. offers a generous PTO policy, health, dental, and vision insurance, term life AD&D insurance and employer contributions to a 401(K) plan.

The position is remote or hybrid. Candidates located in Minnesota, particularly within reasonable driving distance of Upsala and the Central Minnesota area, are strongly preferred given the community development focus of the role.

• Minimum 5 years of direct commercial lending experience, including origination, underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Preferred 5 years of direct experience developing CRA relationships and originating CRA-qualified loans, investments, or community development activities.
• Strong credit analysis and financial statement analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of CRA regulation and examination expectations, including experience supporting banks operating under a Strategic Plan or comparable community development framework.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while coordinating closely with credit, compliance, and executive teams.
• Willingness to travel within Minnesota for community development activities and to provide occasional branch coverage in Upsala, MN.

• 10+ years of relevant experienced preferred
• Existing relationships with Minnesota community development organizations, CDFIs, economic development authorities, or similar partners.
• Formal credit training and/or relevant certifications.
