Overview
The City of Breckenridge, a home rule charter city of approximately 3,400 residents in west central Minnesota, is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Public Service. This position provides leadership and oversight for city public services, including utilities (electric, water, and wastewater), public works, and building inspections. The position works under the general direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Public Utilities Commission.
Salary range $91,000 - $115,273 DOE, plus excellent benefit package.
- Supervising departmental staff and operations;
- Assisting with budget development and monitoring;
- Coordinating long- and short-range planning, rate studies, and regulatory compliance;
- Serving as a liaison to elected officials, public agencies, and professional organizations;
- Responding to citizen concerns.
