Public Works Maintenance Worker ll - Waterville

Overview

The City of Waterville is accepting applications for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker II. The maintenance worker performs various tasks and is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment at the water and wastewater treatment plants. They maintain the City’s streets, storm sewer system, parks, buildings, and other City properties to support the functions of the Public Works department.

• Operate and maintain equipment at water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Maintain the City’s streets, storm sewer system, parks, buildings, and other City properties to support Public Works operations.

Minimum qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma/GED. Class B driver’s license with airbrake endorsement. Possess Class C water and Class B wastewater licenses, or the ability to obtain the licenses within one (1) year of hire.

Desirable qualifications: Two years of experience working with municipal water/wastewater departments. Dump Truck snow removal operations.

The pay range for this position is $33.50-$35.00 with a competitive benefits package.
