Join the Wayzata Police Department as a Police Officer. We are seeking dedicated individuals to serve and protect our community by enforcing laws and ordinances, arresting offenders, investigating crimes, and maintaining public order. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to crime prevention, assisting the public, and ensuring the protection of life and property. Officers actively engage with residents, recognize public safety concerns, and work to create a safe and welcoming environment.

• Enforce laws and ordinances within the community.
• Arrest offenders and investigate crimes.
• Maintain public order and respond to emergencies.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to crime prevention and public safety concerns.
• Assist the public and protect life and property; engage with residents to create a safe environment.

• Must hold a license issued by, or be eligible to be licensed by, the Minnesota Police Officers Standards and Training Board (P.O.S.T.) by the time of appointment.
• Must pass all pre-employment requirements.

• Please note that this is not a Community Service Officer (CSO), Police Cadet, or grant-funded position.
• 2026 Hourly Pay Range: $40.00 - $56.43 per hour.
