The City of Janesville is recruiting for a full-time Chief of Police. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of the police department and its staff.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or related field
- Seven to ten years progressive law enforcement experience
- Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job proficiently
- Must have supervisory experience
- Current Minnesota Peace Officer (POST) License
- Valid MN Driver’s License
- Preferred:
Master’s Degree in a relevant field
