Duties listed are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all- inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Position Duties- Review case records for completion of required agency forms (case file reviews)
- Complete, manage and update approval option providers/process.
- Complete intake daily as assigned, take MnCHOICES referrals and other intake calls, explain intake process to Provide data privacy form and inform clients of the right to appeal and of other rights as needed.
- Make appropriate referrals to the other HHS units and/or other community
- Contact community resources as needed and
- Perform clerical/technical functions as assigned and related to social services team.
- Perform statistical operations relevant to social service program
- Assist the team in processing purchase of service contracts, SSIS services agreements and voucher and MMIS entry.
- Compose correspondence and construct reports as
- Assist social workers/case managers with administrative activities related to waiver case management services.
- Perform job related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Knowledge of interviewing techniques and skills in conducting interviews/intake
- Knowledge of human behavior and ability to relate to individuals in an appropriate manner.
- Knowledge of agency programs, operations, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of available community
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to process detailed information accurately and rapidly.
- Ability to use sound judgment in decision-making, use functional reasoning/apply rational judgment.

Education and Experience
- Three (3) years of successful clerical experience and/or experience working with the public, or the
- Or two (2) years of successful clerical experience in a social service/human services agency;
- Or two (2) years of experience as a community service aide or similar experience in a private non- profit agency or other public agency;
- Or two (2) years of study at an accredited two (2) or four (4) year college/university or similar institution, with emphasis in the behavioral sciences (at least 23 quarter credits or 16 semester credits)
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license with proof of
- Regular interaction with County
- Work is performed primarily in a standard office
- Work may involve contacts with emotionally disturbed or hostile
- Desk work involving use of a computer, telephone, and other
- Communicate effectively with County staff, and
- Ability to read screens and
- Office work may include reaching for documents, grasping documents, standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
