Job Summary
A Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) is responsible for creating and delivering safe and effective exercise programs for those with clearance to exercise by collaborating with clients to set goals, provide meaningful feedback, and act as a reliable source of accountability. The CPT may prepare, organize, and coordinate community programming. CPTs may also conduct preparticipation health‑screenings to observe and gather relevant information needed to develop an effective exercise program, and pre‑employment functional assessments.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Greets gym members and completes gym orientations, functional assessments, concussion protocols and personal training sessions as scheduled.
- Prepares programs for clients based on individual goals and abilities, while offering a wide range of flexible training times and opportunities.
- Responsible for the general upkeep of fitness facilities – making sure appropriate amenities are stocked and equipment is functioning.
- Follows organization wide policies and procedures in regards to—and alerts appropriate authorities of—malfunctioning/broken equipment.
- Community gym members are registered into the electronic system, authorization to join is obtained from a provider when appropriate, and initial along with monthly membership dues are collected.
- Assists with the Wellness Coordinator with community and Life Care Employee Wellness programs and incentives.
- Assist with Health Fairs, finding/creating new programs for employee participation, May Walk/Run, additional community events we have been asked to promote/assist with.
- Stay up to date on latest insurance reimbursement policies regarding community gym member fees.
- Coordinates community programming to include but not limited to group exercise and wellness classes.
