Job Summary and Responsibilities

The EMT is responsible for:

• the pre-hospital care and transportation of citizens in the Breckenridge Ambulance Service’s primary service area (PSA) and surrounding PSAs as requested through mutual aid
• equipment checks and basic maintenance of the vehicle
• keeping records of the vehicle use and patient contacts through the MNStar data forms
• continual evaluation and improvement of their skills as an EMT and our service to the community

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must maintain EMT licensure with the EMSRB (NREMT is not a requirement)
• Must have clean driving history or history reviewed by management for approval
• Must have valid drivers license and must be submitted
