ABOUT THE JOB

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a casual Dietary Cook to serve our Dietary department! The Dietary Cook prepares and cooks meals for hospital employees and patients in accordance with Physician diet orders. This position has a minimum age requirement of 18.

Responsibilities:

• Determines types and quantities of meats, vegetables and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus.
• Serves the correct portion sizes for all food items.
• Ensure meals are prepared and ready by anticipated times.
• Bakes, prepares, or assigns the preparation of congregate snacks.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to approved recipes.
• Improves flavor and texture of food by adding ingredients or reasonings.
• Makes soups, sauces, stews, casseroles, and desserts meeting established dietary guidelines.
• Maintains kitchen in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Observes infection control, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.

ABOUT YOU

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in food preparation preferred
• Excellent customer services and teamwork skills.
