Safety Manager

Charps, headquartered in Clearbrook, MN, maintains a solid reputation as a preferred pipeline contractor in the energy industry and we are looking for a Safety Manager to join our team. This position will be based in our Clearbrook MN office and will be integral in advancing and supporting our company-wide commitment to safety.

As Safety Manager you will work closely with the Safety Director and supervise the Safety Coordinator role to strengthen and continuously improve our Health and Safety Management System (HSMS). You will collaborate regularly with Foremen, Field Safety, Superintendents, and Project Managers to ensure accurate safety documentation, employee qualification records, and compliance with internal, client and regulatory safety requirements while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Your ability to navigate multiple platforms, learn new software and efficiently manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail will be essential. You will play a key role in developing Project Safety Plans, Job Hazard Assessments and Toolbox Talks, while generating safety performance reports that drive accountability and results. Training and certification will be provided to prepare you to facilitate safety and qualification training for field employees.

• Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
