There is a medical clinic located in the complex as well as a satellite medical clinic in Karlstad, Minnesota.

Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00

Life of an EMT, you will play a vital role in delivering critical care to patients in remote areas. In this role, you'll respond to emergency calls, provide pre‑hospital care, and stabilize patients while en route to a health‑care center. Working in rural areas, you will encounter diverse medical situations that require quick thinking, resourcefulness, and a high level of adaptability.

In this role you will manage crisis situations, transportation, and work collaboratively with others to ensure high‑quality care for the community.

• Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with both patients and health‑care professionals.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, including vital signs, monitoring, basic life support (BLS), and trauma care.
• Familiarity with use of emergency medical equipment.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills to respond quickly and effectively.
• Ability to operate emergency vehicles and navigate rural areas under various weather and road conditions.
• Proven physical endurance and strength to handle lifting or physically demanding situations.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high‑stress and unpredictable stations.
• Maintain comprehension of regulatory standards and ethical practices.
• Commitment and engaging in continuing education to stay informed of the industry developments.

• Valid MN EMT license.
• 1‑year general emergency medical services experience (nice to have).
• Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting.
• Complete TB test within the first 3 weeks of employment.

• Hallock, MN and surrounding Kittson County area.
• Flex working 0‑48 hours bi‑weekly.
• Shifts are on call working 20 units per year.
