Primary Direct Support Professional - New Castle

Sign‑on bonus: $350. Full‑time 6 am‑2 pm position, including every other weekend.
Responsibilities- Provide an atmosphere that will stimulate residents’ development of self‑confidence and self‑worth.
- Be a Direct Support Professional on duty for residents, including program development, daily goal work, and proper documentation.
- Be active with residents at all appropriate times, stimulating positive social interactions.
- Provide education and assistance to residents in managing personal funds.
- Complete daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual documentation for all residents.
- Provide a positive and supportive atmosphere toward residents and other staff.
- Maintain open and honest communication with the Program Director and other staff, promoting teamwork and support.
- Demonstrate, uphold, and support the policies, procedures, and philosophy of the facility and organization.
- Assist the Program Director in administrative duties and program development, which may include:
- Staff scheduling
- Reviewing payroll and timesheets
- Recording client information from referrals
- Filing and record‑keeping for licensing reviews
- Program and activities schedule
- Be responsible for residents’ program development, goal work, and documentation, and:
- Discuss and provide skill‑building techniques for issues concerning residents as they arise.
- Assist residents in completing designated goals and objectives as outlined in individual care plans and reviews.
- Provide services as identified in CSSP documentation to support outcomes.
- Maintain a positive, supportive environment toward residents and staff, and:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑maintained environment in living and staff areas.
- Oversee resident domestic responsibilities, educating and assisting them to promote self‑worth.
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of relevant work experience in the current program(s)
- Maintain a “3 – Meets Expectations” or higher employee performance evaluation rating
- Demonstrated written, oral, and computer skills
- Sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
