Job Overview

Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring part‑time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our adult foster care home in Brookston, MN. As a DSP, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most fulfilling lives. No prior experience or certifications are required to get started in this exciting and rewarding field.

The Westbrook program is located about 30 miles outside of Duluth. It provides a supported living setting with a working farm, cows, horses, a donkey, and vegetable gardens, and offers a diverse outdoor recreation program.

• 16–30 hours per week
• Shift times available: 8:30 am–4:30 pm, 10:00 am–6:00 pm, 11:00 am–7:00 pm, 12:00 pm–8:00 pm, 1:00 pm–9:00 pm, 2:30 pm–10:30 pm, 4:30 pm–10:30 pm
• Every other weekend required

Base salary: $20.50–$21.00 per hour.
Rate exception: $1.75 per hour on top of RSI’s regular wages, requested by RSI for staff with more significant support needs. Rate exceptions are tied to the individual(s) receiving services and may cease if the individual terminates service with RSI.

As a DSP you will assist in day‑to‑day tasks based on the needs and goals of the people you support. Duties may include medication administration, household duties, behavioral management, assistance with personal hygiene and medical care, and community activities such as shopping, concerts, dining, movies, fitness and outdoor recreation. You will develop meaningful relationships and be part of a person‑centered culture that values the people we support and team members.

• Pass a post‑offer background check
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check if working days or evenings
