Description$5,000 sign-on bonus with two year work commitment!
The MLT or MLS performs a wide range of clearly defined analysis at acceptable levels of competency and on a timely basis. These analyses involve a level of independent judgment as delegated by the supervisor compatible with the level of acquired expertise. The employee performs routine laboratory procedures carefully and conscientiously using predetermined criteria and reports unusual conditions to the supervisor.
Proficient and professional communications is required with patients, co-workers and physicians. Performs efficiently and accurately when assisting or carrying out physician orders, including appropriate documentation. Be knowledgeable of resources available within the clinic and throughout the community to provide optimum medical care to patients and their families.
Compensation Hourly wage range for MLT candidates: $26.40 - $33.79. Hourly wage range for MLS candidates: $30.52-$41.09. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
Shifts Rotating shifts rotating week night and weekend call, 64 hours biweekly.

MLT Candidates
Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent level of education, two years associate applied science degree in clinical laboratory science preferred, laboratory training culminating in National Certification, MLT (ASCP or equivalent) required upon hire or must obtain within six months in position, proficient and professional communication, both verbal and written. Willingness to be BLS certified within the first year of employment. Ability to operate all lab equipment.
Ability to do repetitive motions moving hand, wrist and fingers and fingertip touch perception for location of blood vessels. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
MLS Candidates
Skills:
A Bachelor of Science degree including an internship under the direction of a Pathologist in an approved laboratory.
