Environmental Services Aide

Job Summary

As our Environmental Services Aide, you will keep patient rooms and all hospital areas clean and sanitized to protect everyone from illnesses or injuries caused by infectious diseases or other hazards.

Every day you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize the facility. You will learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, refill soap and paper towel dispensers, and deliver clean linens.

• Maintain and clean all department floors according to established standards
• Maintain and clean all public area carpets or floors
• Remove all trash, biohazards, and soiled linen to designated pickup areas
• Maintain grounds area by mowing or snow removal
• Restock supplies within department areas
• Identify and report work orders to the maintenance department

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Healthcare housekeeping experience
