Job Overview
Location: Essentia Health Deer River Pharmacy (2332400 RETAIL PHARMACY - DEER CLIN)
Job SummarySupervises and manages pharmacy operations in accordance with Essentia Health and Board of Pharmacy regulations. Oversees prescription preparation and dispensing, provides sterile compounding oversight at infusion or ambulatory surgery centers, interprets, dispenses, and monitors medications, optimizes drug therapy, administers immunizations, and participates in clinical initiatives. Responsible for staff training, supervision of technicians and interns, customer service resolution, billing, record keeping, monthly audits, inventory control, equipment and supply management, and accurate cash handling.

Qualifications- Doctorate or bachelor's degree in pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD required).
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Pharmacy licensure appropriate to state of employment.
- Meets Board of Pharmacy requirements to be Pharmacist in Charge or Managing Pharmacist within applicable states.
- Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
- If currently registered in another state, must register as a Pharmacist-Intern in the state of employment and actively pursue licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire.
- BLS certification required within one week of hire.
- Immunization Certificate required at time of hire.
- Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
