Positions available:
Part‑time or Full‑time Float Pharmacist as needed. Flexible schedule across our southeastern MN locations in La Crescent, Rushford, and Caledonia.

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of pharmacy.
• Licensed as a Pharmacist in MN and IA.
• Willing to travel to various Sterling Pharmacy locations.

• Detail oriented and very organized.
• Able to handle a high‑stress environment.
• Two or more years of pharmacy experience in a retail/community setting.

The Float Pharmacist will provide pharmacy dispensing and consultation services to Sterling Pharmacy patients and communicate directly with Pharmacy Managers, Store Managers, and District Managers.

• Travel to various Sterling Pharmacy locations to assist as a Float Pharmacist.

• Assist in training other staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service associates.
• Receive, process, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and promptly.
• Respond to all patient inquiries in a timely fashion.

• Adhere to policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
• Abide by all statutes, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practice, both state and federal.
• Represent Sterling Pharmacy as a pharmacist to the general public and at professional events.
• Collect appropriate information for Medicaid and Medicare billing of DME and supplies.
• Ensure patients are counseled on all new prescriptions and changes in therapy or patient condition.
• Address and resolve patient/employee complaints in the absence of pharmacy manager.
• Be prepared and willing to perform pharmacy technician and customer service associate duties as necessary.
• Stay current with the latest information on drug therapy and side effects.
• Complete continuing education requirements of the Board of Pharmacy.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Complete training/certification for administering immunizations and maintain competency.
• Help the PIC encourage and support employees engaging with customers on all marketing material given by corporate.
• Participate in expectations with the Profit Incentive Program.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Maintain a flexible schedule including early morning, evening and weekend hours.
• In a typical 8‑hour day, lift or carry items up to approximately 25 lbs.
• Stand approximately 8 hours in a typical day.
• Spend 2 hours on the telephone in a typical 8‑hour day.

• This position will be in a typical retail pharmacy setting at one or more locations and is of normal climate and temperature.
