Environmental Services Tech

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy and welcoming environment in patient and non-patient areas to ensure that Ridgeview customers and families receive the highest quality of services in a caring and compassionate manner.

• Cleans all patient and non-patient areas to high standards of cleanliness.
• Follows all infection control policies and standards to minimize the transmission of microorganisms.
• Follows proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protection equipment for the safety of patients, Environmental Services Tech and staff.
• Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets.
• Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas.
• Distributes clean linen and maintains PAR levels.
• Washes and dries specialty linen items in house.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
• Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly to complete job functions.

• Previous cleaning experience (healthcare, hospitality, commercial, etc.).
