Home Health Aide

Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing, and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver, preferred but not necessary. • Travel with patients to health care service providers, doctors’ offices, grocery stores, or for other errands, as needed
• Supervise medications and assist patient in organizing, refilling, and taking medications, as well as meal planning and preparation
• Maintain psychological and emotional support for patients and family members — provide quality companionship
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc.
• Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep updated and accurate care records
• Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake
• Resident Response: Attend to resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care
• Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space
• Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards
• Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks

• Pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, and possess current CPR certification and first aid training
• Over one year of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, personal care aid, or nursing assistant for a home health agency, at patient homes, or care facilities settings is vital
• Possess a valid state driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communication skills
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs; may also be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed

• Ability to lift 35 pds
• Assist with resident ADLs as directed by the client service plan
• Administration of medication as directed by an RN
• Answer client call lights
• Housekeeping in residents' rooms as scheduled
• Charting of all services performed

Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
