Description
The Health Care Navigator assists community members in obtaining and maintaining health care coverage, provides guidance and assistance in utilizing health care benefits, and connects community members to supportive services they require to optimize health and wellness.
EducationHigh school diploma with 2 years experience in a healthcare or office related field. Associates or Bachelor's degrees in human service or healthcare related field preferred.
ApplicantsApplicants with work or lived-experience with MNSure, Minnesota Care, Medical Assistance or other insurance/benefits programs encouraged to apply.
QualificationsCandidate must successfully complete MNSURE Navigator certification within 15 days of hire and maintain certification. This position will be working with individuals and their private information and health-related data. Applicants must be committed to protecting community members confidential information and will be expected to adhere to all privacy laws and policies.
Additional RequirementsValid driver's license and insurable through Grand Portage auto policy. Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
