Location: Norwood Young America
At The Harbor & The Haven, our mission is to redefine what it means to age with joy and dignity. Our community consists of 61 assisted living and 12 memory care apartments. We are located in Norwood Young America, approximately 50 minutes southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
LIFE ENRICHMENT ASSISTANT
The Life Enrichment Assistant assists with planning and implementing activities that provide physical, social, spiritual and cognitive well-being. This position is part‑time, working approximately 48–56 hours in a bi‑weekly pay period. Anticipated schedule will be 9:00am–3:30pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, every other Friday, and one day every other weekend. Responsibilities- Plan and lead activities such as games, crafts, fitness classes, educational workshops, and social events tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Support resident engagement by fostering social interaction, companionship, and a sense of community.
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director in developing and implementing activity programs, including creating calendars and coordinating group outings.
- Recruit, direct, and supervise volunteers to support life enrichment programs.
- Ensure resident dignity and individuality by incorporating personal preferences and life stories into activities.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and state/federal regulations, including reporting any complaints or incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks and participation in team meetings.

- Basic computer knowledge

- Team Player
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in recreation therapy or related field is a plus. - Experience:
One to two years working with elderly in a senior living community or recreational setting preferred. - Other Requirements:
Must comply with criminal background check.
